49ers-Packers is the hottest NFC Championship Game ticket ever tracked
Some seats are already going for close to $10,000 each
In case you were living under a cleat divot, the San Francisco 49ers handily beat the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, which locked the Niners in as hosts for the NFC Championship Game. They'll play the Green Bay Packers, who beat the Seattle Seahawks in a thriller on Sunday. As two of the most popular NFL franchises, the Niners and Packers already accounted for the most expensive tickets to any regular season game at Levi's Stadium this year. It's no surprise that their NFC title game matchup is crazy expensive.
But according to SeatGeek, it's more than a little popular: Niners-Packers is the hottest NFC Championship Game ticket since the company started tracking prices in 2010.
On average, Packers-Niners tickets are selling for $730 a ticket — the highest average price of any NFC Championship Game since SeatGeek started tracking. The average resale price of a ticket is 209 percent more than the average resale price of a ticket to any 49ers game this season. Even the cheapest tickets are expensive: The get-in price (the absolute cheapest ticket) is $450, and those are standing-room only tickets. The cheapest actual chair is $469.
Considering it's Monday and the game isn't until Sunday, these tickets should easily blow away the previous bests. Here are the top three NFC title games since 2010, in terms of price:
- 2019 NFC Championship: Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers (1/19/20): $730
- 2017 NFC Championship: Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles (1/21/18): $694
- 2010 NFC Championship: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears (1/23/11): $688
This game is also the second-priciest ticket in the history of Levi's Stadium, just after Super Bowl 50. Here's that top three:
- Super Bowl 50 (2/7/16): $4,517
- NFC Championship: Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers (1/19/20): $730
- CFP National Championship: Alabama vs. Clemson (1/7/19): $539
If you're crazy (and rich) enough to buy tickets, you'll want to buy sooner than later. History suggests tickets will only get more expensive. Here are a few places you can buy tickets:
